In some boats the only practical way to mount a battery is on the stringers. We have seen various types of brackets and other less than impressive ways to do this. We decided to do it the right way. We start with 8"x8"x1/2" aluminum extrusion and machine the battery box bottom on the top leg of the 8" extrusion. This gives you an almost indestructible battery box. These boxes are available for standard Group 24 and 27, some Optimas as well as some Odyssey batteries. Of course, all battery boxes are available in variety of Fusioncoated or anodized finishes.
